  • Hey Dean great article! I’ve known about market Samurai for a long time and have trialled it on a couple of occasions.

However I have been put off recently after discovering they had to change a lot of their functionality over to the Bing api rather than the Google api to extract their data.

I have since found out that whilst Market Samurai blamed the change on Google API changing so much stuff, I heard since that it was down to poor forward planning by MS when they originally developed the software?

All the same, what ever the case, I think that MS is not the software it once was because of the changes, and the data not as reliable because of it.

I also find it a little slow too, as a result I have looked for other options such as long tail pro, which runs via the google api, and is much faster, through its fair to say the interface is not as pretty as MS.

where do you fall on this point? if you have been using the MS software for some months you will have knowledge of the data before and after, so I would be keen to know your point of view

Again, thanks for taking the time to write such a great article

    • Hi Paul,

I agree that yes it has changed lately, but what I really like (at least for my knowledge) is that Market Samurai can at least gauge how many links the top competitors have on their page. If it’s red on Bing, I don’t really want to go after that market today. I will get there in the future, but for now I can focus on less competitive keywords. I wonder why Google did that or why it changed so much? You know more about that but for $99 I think it’s worth it.

Also, I have gone back and forth on ways to submit my content out to the search engines. I have used Traffic Geyser, and Magic Submitter. Traffic Geyser works with 80 or so sites, and Magic Submitter submits to 2000 or so BUT…Magic Submitter is very hard to use IMO for the average person. Have you used them? I’m an affiliate for both but I really like how simple Traffic Geyser is to submit to some of the best sites out there. Would love to hear your thoughts, and thanks for the comment.

  • First of all I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas
out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints?

  • Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m
looking to start my own blog in the near future
but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!

    • Hi Tonya, No worries at all and glad you stopped by. I use Precisio Pro and it is just an amazing theme. I get compliments on it a lot, and it’s very responsive. I’m working on a project and looking for writers too if you’re interested. It’s kinda pressing and I’m only accepting 15-20 writers so let me know if you want to chat about it. It’s almost ready to go, and should be lucrative as well. Thanks for reaching out!
