I ran across a video yesterday by Brendan Burchard and I just thought it was incredible. I wanted to share it with you in hopes that you would find it helpful as well. Brendan Burchard is a trainer to millionaires or top performing professionals, and I don’t think it was an accident that I stumbled upon his video.
Lately I’ve found myself majoring in the minors in that I’ve been consumed by tiny details that are time consuming, and make little to any impact on my income. I’ve been answering customer service calls and dealing with issues that could be handled by…well, customer service professionals that are paid to do so.
I’ve always tried to live by the rule of “What’s the most important thing I can I do RIGHT NOW?” It’s always helped me to stay on track during my day if I get off course, and focus on the important things that produce the best results for me professionally or personally.
In the video down below Brendan Breaks down how top performers, not just Millionaires, spend their days. One thing I do that he mentions is try to get 15-30 minutes a day of personal development or put positive things into my mind. I loved the video and this is 30 minutes worth spending for anyone wanting to improve their outlook on their daily mindset, and overall plan for their future. It could be making prospecting calls or personal visits to businesses, writing a blog or making a video, or spending quality time with the people I love. For me, balance is everything.
Sure I want to make a gazillion dollars, but I’d rather create a life that allows me to make a difference in the lives of others first and enjoy the fruits of my labor traveling or doing fun things with my family and friends.
But lately, if I’m being honest, I’ve been completely out of sorts and not using the disciplines I know that have allowed me to have success in my past.
I told my wife the other day that I’m going back to my roots if you will, and I’m going to really try to stop reacting to my day, and start constructing the life that I envision in my mind.
It’s one of balance. Eating healthier, working out more often, meditating on my day first thing in the morning, focusing on the “Big Rocks” in the glass first, and fill in the gaps when I can on the smaller, menial tasks.
I know it will make a difference in every area of my life.
So that’s my hope for you today is that you will focus on the main things in your life first. For me its Family, my relationship with God (working on that one), my friends, and my passion of helping others in my work.
So think like a millionaire during your day, start some new habits and disciplines, and you be blessed beyond your imagination. Make it a wonderful day!
